For Joan’s 80th birthday she only wanted two things 1) A family gathering in Canberra and 2) photos of the whole family along with a photo book that she could show to her friends. Joan’s daughter Vicky did an amazing job gathering the family from all over the country, and making sure that her brother Mark would be able to come back from working overseas for the day.

Everyone’s spirits where high for the celebration even if Canberra didn’t put on it’s best weather. But that didn’t stop us. We simply organised for the photos to be taken over the course of the day and utilised the beautiful Hyatt hotel.

Below are some of the spreads (album pages) from what became Joan’ fine art story book. It serves as a beautiful record or Joan’s family as it is now. And has become one of the family heirlooms that both Vicky and Mark are already coveting – lol.
