There area few times of the year that I love more than Autumn in Canberra (Hmmm, I wonder if I say that about each season as it roll by?). And I had a wonderful time recently photographing Ronan and his family. As is the case with most kids, their personality shines through right from the start. And it was very clear that Ronan was a very independent little man.

Some kid’s are quietly cautious around a camera, which is great. I love breaking into their shells and building that trust with them. But Ronan was confident straight off the bat. He was not afraid of anything – except perhaps standing or even perhaps sitting still. But I soon learnt that was exactly who Ronan was. From the moment he wakes up til he goes to bed.
Seems the only time he actual stopped was when his dad put him in a tree! And then he was rather happy at being so much talker than the rest of us.
